Democrats target the 5th
In an email sent to Organizing For America members all over the country, top level Democrats made clear they will come to the help of Tom Perriello often from now to November. Targeting one Senate seat and one House seat they made clear they will support Perriello because he has supported Obama. Those who try to say that Tom is going to be easy to beat are just wrong. The candidates need to stop attacking one another now and start thinking seriously about the fall.

we are not living in a fairy tale in the 5th District where just anybody can beat Perriello as evidenced by the above post.
ReplyDeletewe need to nominate someone who can manipulate the press to his/her advantage (like the Dems), someone with a campaign staff that has fought the big Dems before, someone who can raise money--and raise money from all over the country if necessary.
our candidate will be interviewed by state & national press--our nominee cannot make a misstep as some already have. our candidate must have the mental ability to debate Perriello on issue by issue.
this is the big time. we cannot afford to nominate someone without the above reqmts because that person will have less chance of beating Perriello. we can't let Obama win.
Virgil Goode might be the only person that can bring everyone together.

ReplyDeletebut OFA gunning for us in the 5th should make clear to ALL that we need someone who can raise money, can debate Perriello without saying something stupid & someone who can appeal to the most voters.
did i mention that we are going to need LOTS & LOTS of cash?
