Bill Hay now officially Verga campaign
After hiding behind a fig leaf for months, Bill Hay will be soon taking an official position with the Verga campaign as the campaign manager we are told. Verga has been supposedly looking for quite some time and has not been able to find an experienced person nor one with knowledge of the district so he has hired Hay. One would hope Hay will quit posting on his Va's Fifth blog as those comments can no longer be excused by Verga as not a part of his campaign. Bill may know Albemarle, Greene and Charlottesville well but in the rest of the district he is both unknown and will need his GPS to find his way around. Rating of Verga's team actually goes down.

Verga already has a "down-District" identity problem. His strategy must be to get all the upper end vote on primary day to become the nominee.
ReplyDeleteBut this answers my question of why Mr. Hay hadn't posted on his blog in several days.
i couldn't get the video to play at WSET. one of the Mc's would not answer whether he would run as 3d party. (read that on 5thwatchdog site).
ReplyDeleteIt was McKelvey. He was asked the question by Verga. Look for the debate to be online later toady at wchv.com.
ReplyDeleteisn't McK's campaign manager Brian O'Connor? Brian is a real Republican & I can't imagine that he can't see how detrimental a 3d party run would be to our chances of defeating Perriello.
ReplyDeleteYes, his campaign manager is O'connor who certainly has a long GOP history. I have heard it has been a long time dream of O'Connor to run a campaign but I as you find it very hard to believe he would want any part of keeping Perriello in office. If you know him personally, why not give him a call ?
ReplyDeletei met him at the convention where he was a floor manager for Brownlee.
ReplyDeletesome posters at va5thdistrict.com are not fond of this site, but i guess you knew that.
