We all know by now that the blog Va's Fifth District believes in trashing every other campaign but Verga's. It is up to other blogs to bring to light what is another huge problem for the Verga Campaign. Last night, the President of the College Republicans at UVa, who has been on the payroll of Verga for months resigned just before he was going to be impeached. His dismal leadership clearly showed when only about fifty students showed up for the debate. He had become too partisan for his CR chapter, and the Center for Politics had withdrawn their support for the debate because of it. Remembering the words of Bill Hay who questioned how anyone involved in a campaign could be trusted to be an organizer of a debate, why is it that no one seems to see the problems of both of the debates held in Albemarle so far ?
Correction- We have been notified that Josh Lambert was no longer working for the Verga campaign at the time of the debate. We stand corrected. He was on the payroll for months according to the FEC filings so we were correct in that. We were told this morning by a poster that we were wrong and we wanted to not only post the correction in the notes but here in the main body of the blog.

thanks, this news doesn't come to light in any of the other blogs.
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteThat is why this blog was founded. Bill Hay's blog is so badly tilted to Verga that it should be retitled. Several of the others are just anti Hurt. Hurt is not perfect but the constant attacks needed someone to step up and have a level playing field. Thanks for posting.
Josh Lambert was no longer a part of the campaign at the time of the debate. It would be nice if you gathered the facts before reporting inaccurate information.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first notice that has been heard that he was no longer working for Verga. Thanks for the correction. Did he plan the debate while was still working for the campaign ?
ReplyDeleteWe will correct every misstatement made here, and not just in the comments section, unlike other blogs.
