Mistake of the week Feda Morton- she keeps on winning the prize !
Feda Morton's campaign seems lost. She has just lost her third campaign manager because of financial problems. She appoints a very young and unexperienced (probably unpaid) Aaron Evans who lives in Martinsville only three hours away from her. Instead of someone who has some ideas about the fifth, she hires a DC consultant who has never been to most of the district. Why would you want to go that way unless you have a lot of money which Morton is clearly lacking. Her first two managers had contacts in the district but walked away when things were just a mess and it seems she is spiraling down week by week.

Once again off the mark! Aaron Evans is a full time PAID campaign manager, he is from the district and actually strategically placed in the opposite end of the district, bringing a great deal of strength from the southern end of the 5th. John Darden unpaid volunteer consultant did not live in the district (he lives in Louisa Co) and Shawn Pattison the former campaign manager moved back to the district upon taking a job with the campaign.
ReplyDeleteThe last I checked LaCivita is not from the 5th either, Feda's is the ONLY other campaign that has hired an experienced, nationally recognized consultant in Kelly Ann Conway ( you guys are the only people who don't see this as a plus) Maybe....just maybe the campaign is now raising money....maybe thats why the campaign has been able to make these new hires....hmmm...thats a thought! As earlier stated in other comments, fundraising has picked up tremendously showing the viablity of Feda's efforts. I would like you to pose the question....where does Boyd and McPadden go from here. With out major endorsements and a visiable campaign structure in each county?

ReplyDelete1. Has Evans quit his job in Salem ? Has he moved to Fluvanna ? It is not an advantage for the manger to be so far away.
2. Darden was a past chair in Albermarle and manages campaigns there regularly.
3. John Pudner (BOYD) and LaCivita (Hurt) know more about VA and especially the 5th than Conway will ever know. Verga also has a nationally recognized consultant of higher stature than yours. You have been drinking too much Kool Aide.
4, Maybe the campaign is now raising money. maybe, maybe,maybe. Going up tremendously means nothing especially from you. Don't see you as a donor.
5. Boyd has shown the ability to raise money, has money in the bank, and has a stronger base than Feda. Mc Padden has a better campaign manager and is starting to get support from some TEA people.

ReplyDeleteIt always tickles me to listen to people make dogmatic statements on a subject on which they have no actual knowledge, as you are doing here.
You have no personal knowledge of what you speak, and I know that for a fact, because I do have it.
Your other commenter was close in his assessment, thought it is actually better for Morton than even that.
You relieve yourself of any credibility you might otherwise have by insulting your commenters and assuming you know things about them that you do not.
You would do far better as a blogger (new to the scene to support one particular candidate, though you may be) to report facts, and leave speculation to others, and most importantly do not insult your readers.
That is the quickest way to kill your own blog traffic, and in your attempts to belittle others you only belittle yourself.

You really make no sense. Get specific.
